A New Kind of Gun Exchange

The guns are toys, often look-alike AK-47s or 44-magnums, traded in for other toys at St. Stephen's Academy...It was also a chance for the Save-A-Child organization to photograph and fingerprint children.
And since they're being conditioned to be herd animals, this was also a chance to tag their ears.

A "Rational Campaign" for a Ration of...

The mayors of more than a dozen cities, including Seattle Mayor Greg Nickels, concluded they must do what Congress has failed to do: fight for rational gun laws.
Here's the new soundbite--expect to see its use spread.

The antis have been using "common sense gun laws," but I guess that's just not snappy enough. Now the buzzword du jour is "rational," with the clear implication that if you disagree, why, you must be irrational...

Rare Tommy gun sells for $80,500

The gun was originally appraised at $25,000, but sold for more than three times that amount. The top bid -- $80,500.
Perhaps I'm just jaded. I mean, how many sheriffs' departments do we find willing to auction off any gun, let alone a machine gun? And I admittedly know nothing about the purchaser.

But with rich benefactors like George Soros and Andrew McKelvey bankrolling the antis, I can't help but wonder if the guy who's got 80+ Grand for a collector's item has donated anywhere near that amount to defending the Second Amendment.

I hope he has--but if there are wealthy rkba supporters out there, how come they keep such a low profile?

Yeah, this happens to me all the time...
