Shhh...It's a Secret

Is the next president willing to continue this degree and extent of kingly secrecy, in which the Justice Department will be deeply complicit?
And they say there are no stupid questions.

Besides, Hentoff's a lefty--figures he wouldn't like the "Vote Freedom First President." If you're not doing anything wrong, what have you got to worry about?

And remember: They hate us because we're free.

Double-plus ungood. I'd liken the Executive,Legislative, and Judicial branches to a drunken, three piece rock n'roll band, past their prime, burned out on coke, getting their weekly methodone shots and tearing out the walls of their hotel while killing the staff, and throwing liberty and justice out the window,to see what it sounds like hitting the pavement.

That is a GREAT metaphor, Sean.

So, the Democrats are upset with Bush's freedom-destroying administration -- which built on the freedom-destroying foundation laid down by Clinton but which he never really got to use much because no 9/11 happened on his watch. And the meeting was chaired by Sen. Russell Feingold, D-Wis., of the McCain (R)-Feingold political speech control law. Yeah, bipartisan cooperation sure is wonderful.
Bring back gridlock!

I've always wondered what that phone call between Janet Reno and Wesley Clark sounded like when she called him up regarding WACO.
"Uh, yeah this is Janet Reno... listen Wes, can you send over a couple of Bradleys and some M1 Abrams? We got a situation out here.
Yes, CS gas, excellent idea...

Probably another state secret.
