We're the Only Ones Too Few Enough

The increase in knife and gun crime in urban communities is due to the lack of police presence, according to new research.
I don't suppose making everyone an "Only One" has occurred to anyone?

"Contrary to media speculation which has tended to lay the blame for escalating knife and gun crime at the door of gang membership, gangsta rap and drug abuse, those most impacted by the violent crime epidemic believe that the lack of police on the streets is the major factor in the escalating fatalities"

Don't blame the people committing the crimes! It's not their fault! There just aren't enough police to stop them!

Can we say "laying the groundwork for a police state?"

"The research also supports the view that the knife and gun crime wave has now reached epidemic proportions, with one in ten of those polled claiming to have carried a gun and one in four a knife."

And in come the twisted statistics! I wonder what a good peer review would say about the sample population they used? Or the way they asked the questions?

Stupidity like this pisses me off.
