We're the Only Ones Assuming Enough

A $25 million claim has been filed against the city of Inglewood on behalf of the victims of a fatal police shooting last month in which officers fired into a car, striking three unarmed men.

No guns were found in the car and police said there was no evidence linking the three men to the initial shots fired.
And we don't know the names of the "Only Ones" involved why?

Per an earlier report:
Although California courts have ruled that the names of officers involved in shootings should be publicly released, the Inglewood Police Department refused requests to release their identities.
Why aren't they facing murder and armed assault charges, as you or I would be if we fired into their car under the belief that they were violent armed criminals? And why exactly would we be wrong for making that assumption?

The boobs fired through their own windshield. Good grief.

And the $25 million, or whatever gets settled for? Hey, it won't come out of anybody's pockets but the productive sector's.

Inglewood has always reminded me of Obi-Wan Kenobi's description of Mos Eisley, "a wretched hive of scum and villainy." And the parts outside City Hall and the PD are just as bad.

People who get that scared just shouldn't be cops. The Force is not with them.
I've locked up under stress, don't get me wrong, but that was in first-time realistic training against live opponents. The Professionals... I expect better.
Local robbery squad, a few questions at *7 a.m.*, man getting ready for work, pants not fastened start to fall, he reaches, the LEADER of the squad kills him. You know the story. None of the other seven officers even reached for their guns. Find another job.
And the brass protecting them? Police state alert. "Our story is the only story."

David, is it just me or are we seeing more 'Only One' incidents than, say a year ago?
