The most bitingly critical send-up on that was what South Park did to Saving Private Ryan.

I will never forgive George Lucas for tampering with the scene in Star Wars, Episode IV, where Han Solo shoots the bounty hunter under the table. Apparently, that was too ruthless for all the hippies. What a bunch of pansies.
