The Indirectotron 9000

I keep noticing a strange referral link for today's site visitors:

Here's where it goes:

Here's the post people are being warned about.

I wonder who could be doing that--and why.

UFToolbox.info is from User Friendly, an online geek comic. It appears to be a mirror of
http://www.ecs.soton.ac.uk/~prb102/chaos/tools/indirectotron.php
I've seen it used most often in the User Friendly Link of the Day, to warn the click-happy surfer that they are about to go to a site with some sort of sensitive material (usually age or violence related), or to warn about an impending loud flash game so you can turn down your speakers and not tip off your boss that you're slacking at work.

Someone most likely used it to generate a link to WoG, probably to cover their legally sensitive inner child egos. I dunno if you can trace it back to the original linking site, though.

one or two users will peruse this site, collect search results for, perhaps, "joyce foundation."

then, when they want to share that material from another website, but don't want the referer to show up in your server logs...

G*d forbid, David, that people will come here and start listening to your ravings about freedom and rights! They might start reading Vandeboegh, Kent, Braaken, and their comments and blogs and other writings, and then you know what we'll have? A bunch of people running around thinking they can live free! Where will all this madness end?

This definitely originates from the Userfriendly forum. Because of the open comments - they cencor links to sites for having open comments, unless filtered through the ever so entertaining indirectotron thingy.
