The Nice Thing in Their View

The nice thing in their view is that absolutely no warrants are needed. To gain public acceptance, the surveillance program is being initially sold as an aid for police looking to solve Amber Alert cases and locate stolen cars."
See? It's "for the children."

Capitalists...I mean, public/private partnership fascists selling rope again I see... but hey--if you're not doing anything wrong, what have you got to hide?

And remember--"they" hate us because we're free.

Remember, Predator was used to watch Hezbollah and Al-Queda prior to taking them out with missiles, and they say this is the future of Air Force operations. What's to prevent the govt' from taking out who they don't like, the same way, and dissallowing hundreds of eyewitnesses who saw a missile, the same way they ignored over 200 witnesses who saw a missile take out TWA flight 800. Funny how that was the first time in aviation history a fuel tank exploded in mid-air, by itself, and has not happened again. I was on that flight in 1994, same plane, and some of the same crew, on the way to my honeymoon in Paris. If they don't want to take someone out while traveling, it's a damn good way to see if they're gone so they can do a snoop and poop while they're gone, courtesy of the Patriot Act. They can also easily use it to place you in close proximity with someone else they want to get, and rope you both with the "conspiracy" angle. Squeeze, baby.III

It is already time to shoot out those cameras. Now it may be past time to start.

Hrm. I just had an interesting idea...

You know those 2D lenticular image greeting cards (that have the plastic lens with the parallel grooves glued over a set of images interlaced in little strips, so that when you tilt the card the image appears to move)?

Do that with a license plate, so that it has a different number depending on the viewing angle.

You might want to do it horizontally, so that the plate number at driver's eye level is correct but the plate number from 30+ degrees vertical (where the cameras are mounted) is different.

My county is very proud of using plate-scanning technology to catch car tax evaders. They no longer use the old windshield decal system -- "to save money" -- but a county tax collector's car has left- and right-looking high-speed cameras connected to the tax database. And this is just the beginning.
I always liked the James Bond flipping license plates. The trick lens gimmick sounds good too. Monkeywrench when they monkey with our privacy.
Of course everyone parked outside the gun show has their plate recorded. No need to even ask.
