A Sketchy Plan

A friend who recently moved writes:

Anybody know of a decent, simple online drawing/CAD routine I can use at internet cafe computers (&c.) until I get my computer online?
My reply:

Boy, do I!
If anyone knows of a better resource, please chime in. In the meantime, enjoy.

If anybody wants to make a gun etching screen capture, I'll be happy to post it or link to it on your site.

UPDATE: Now that's what I'm talkin' about.

There might or might not be something on some Knoppix type Linux distro. I can't promise to ask those who might know, though.

Do you know what the person had in mind?

There's an interesting point here. Not infrequently, one hears the view that exposure to e.g. R rated (not X, necessarily material) is of little concern, as the kids will become habituated and lose interest. I'm not sure that's the case even in the majority, but the Etch A Sketch virtuoisi, the Rubik Cube collaborative projects and the various vegetable art (don't know a brand name off hand) prove that some people will become obsessed -- even with these neutral pursuits. All the best, cycjec.
