Miller pleaded guilty Monday to misdemeanor DUI. Fourth District Magistrate Jerry Meyers sentenced Miller to one year probation and 90 days in jail Monday and fined him $750. Meyers then suspended 87 days of the jail sentence, according to court records.Yeah, I'm sure non-"Only Ones" caught driving with a "blood alcohol level...twice the legal limit" get that kind of break all the time.
Meyers granted Miller a withheld judgment, which means Miller can ask Meyers to have the guilty plea taken off his record if he completes probation successfully.

Actually, yes, here in Oregon at least. A first DUI is eligible for diversion which, if completed, means there's no DUI on your record. In fact, the three days of jail he did get are much harsher than are typical for a first DUI conviction (presuming the defendant is not eligible for diversion) here, though his fine was lower.
This cop got a break that anyone he's giving a speeding ticket to will never get. There's no traffic school in Idaho that will remove one ticket off a person's record so they don't get hosed by auto insurance they must carry by law.
We have seen the radar scams on down grade side of a hill. A driver has to give it more gas to get up the other side and carry's a tab of speed over the top. Before they get to slow down they are zapped with the radar. Of course almost everyone has their speed down but do it slowly without having the jam on the brakes.
Yep. this cop got what the taxpaying citizens never get.
Exact same sentence I got 5 yrs ago. Nothing special here.
