A Stern Warning

Thirteen campaign workers for Barack Obama yesterday yanked their voter registrations and ballots in Ohio after being warned by a prosecutor that temporary residents can't vote in the battleground state.
And they're not arrested and awaiting prosecution because...?

David,

The following E-mail I receved from a friend in Florida says it best:

"Aha..! Now I understand...
I've been confused and mistaken about the role of the Prosecutors Office..!

And in other, related news, the prosecutor has asked those out-of-state workers to "examine their conscience" before the banks begin processing checks and money orders after the weekend.

He held meetings with them, reminding those visiting dignitaries that the submission of duplicated money orders and cashing checks that have already been processed and cleared through their accounts in their home states, is contrary to law; urging them to withdraw those instruments or face felony charges. (Editor: They are not expected to know this.)

(The Prosecutor) cut a deal with 13 out-of-staters, including four from New York, who tossed out their already-submitted checks and money orders - admitting they weren't lawful. (Editor: How they did that remains unclear as it implies access to instruments already submitted.)

Also pulling his check yesterday was Hofstra University grad John Doe, an Obama volunteer who was spending in Knox County, Ohio.

A change in name has been proposed for the Prosecutors Office to that of Crime Pre-Emption Without Arrest Facility which will be accompanied by an award for "Maintaining Personal Civic Virtue. ~ JimH"
