We're the Fauxnly Ones...

A man impersonating a police officer pulled a gun on a Gillette woman Thursday morning after stopping her on State Highway 259 between Midwest and Interstate 25...

Thursday morning's incident is the third in less than a week in Natrona County involving someone who approached a driver while apparently posing as a law enforcement officer.
It's getting harder and harder to tell the legitmate highwaymen apart from the fake ones these days...

"legitimate highwaymen". Heh. Makes about as much difference as knowing the blood type of your mugger. A thief is a thief; no matter if he has the approval of the state (the biggest criminal organization on earth) or is freelance.

Well, as much as I hate to say anything that could be construed as defense of this cretin, I must say this. So far as we know he has been thwarted and frustrated at least three times, and has yet to shoot anyone or beat them down. He seems to be conducting himself better than the genuine state sanctioned highwaymen.

This guy must be from somewhere else, is all I can say. You notice that none of his intended victims cooperated with him and all demanded identification, then basically ignored him.

This is going on about 80 miles from where I live. I know the people who live there. He'd better hang it up and find something else to do because one of these days he'll pull this crap on the wrong person and get shot for his trouble.

We don't put up with this garbage from the supposedly "legitimate" highwaymen, and a fake just isn't apt to get even that much satisfaction.

But it certainly gives new emphasis to why it is important to be armed, even in relatively crime free Wyoming.

maybe he got his gun from one of bloomturds "authorized outlets" and the neon colors are tipping them off?

The guy sounds like one who just couldn't quite cut it for whatever reason and decided to go play "police" on his own.

Also, don't you think a truck with red letters on the side spelling out sheriff might be easily found? Are they even looking or are they just using this as an excuse to use a higher level of shock and awe in the mean time to PROVE they are cops?
