The Obvious Question

“I think the obvious question everyone has is who takes loaded weapons into a Toys R Us?” Ferguson said. “I doubt it was the casual holiday shopper.
Almost, Fergie, old bean. You came up with the obvious answer. Your question needs work.

Because in a county of over 2 million residents, only 734 CCW permits were issued in 2007.

Go ahead and see if you can figure out from this how to get one.

Assuming you're not an assistant city manager.

So: Care to take a stab at coming up with the obvious question again?

I see nothing wrong with lawful armed citizens carrying a firearm and a loaded one at that in Toy's R Us. Criminals don't pick places that offer their victims better chances. Frankly, when my whole family is with me is a time I do carry because if something happens I need to be able to protect them. They count on me to do that. I provide for my family, a home, food and the rest of the trimmings that go with it. Security is a part of the trimmings.
Here's the problem as to why there were armed criminals in the store. The criminal justice system is about feeding the parasites in that system. That corrupted system uses the revolving door to keep the business flowing. Everyone a criminal comes into contact with is on the government dole. Even the lawyers, public defenders are government employees. This system is a welfare program for parasites and criminals are their bread and butter. If criminals were hung in public squares and cane whippings where done in public as well. Crime would drop off like crazy. This would leave the parasites in a pinch so the warped system isn't going to allow that. Being the system will not deal with criminals but to used them for their personal welfare. The lawful citizens must be armed to protect themselves and their families. Even at Toy's R Us.

This happened not far from our home in Palm Desert. So far, this is being written up in the (liberal) Desert Sun as a dispute between two people, though they are not linking the shooting to the Black Friday shopping frenzy. I don't think we're getting the entire background on these two, but I wouldn't be surprised if at least one of them had some sort of violent record.

That having been said, the Dansers Macabre finally have a "Dodge City shootout" to crow about, and they're wasting no time making political hay.

Stupid me, I went to that sheriff's website and clicked the "Don't Be A Victim" page, assuming it was the CCW info page.... WRONNNGGGG!!

Who would carry a loaded gun into a Toys R' Us?

Hmm? Lets think. I think a law abiding citizen intent on defending himself would do that. It is painful to hear that some moron(s) gave CCW-ers a bad name but arguing for more "gun control" after such an event is downright stupid.

well, I'm just going to walk out this horribly undersized branch here.

“I think the obvious question everyone has is who takes loaded weapons into a Toys R Us?”

I'm guessing that it wasn't folks who obey the law in this case...or at least the folks who obey aren't whipping them out and shooting someone over being "dissed" or whatever this bit of chlorine in the pool was caused by.

My bet is no CCWs are involved. Sorry my post didn't make that assumption clearer.

The chances that CCW's were involved are nil.
The chances that both shoppers were rival gang members are very good.

Update for y'all! The Desert Sun just reported that these two hooligans had (drumroll, please)...PRIOR CONTACT WITH THE CRIMINAL JUSTICE SYSTEM!(TA DA!)

Why am I not surprised?
