A Tough Measure

The legislation would require all gun owners to receive five hours of safety training and to register their firearms every three years. In addition, they would have to undergo a criminal background check every six years.

Compelling state interest in action.

I wonder how many feral sociopaths this will stop?

Idiots.

Now the fun begins; this will very likely be decided as a 'reasonable regulation' as construed under the SCOTUS Heller decision by whatever court has jurisdiction in the rathole that was once our Capital.

Nonsense, Anonymous.

Heller reaffirms our Second Amendment rights, it's a good first step, and gosh darn it, if we push to build popular support for our position, the Supreme Court wouldn't DARE rule against us! Why, we might just...

Um...

What can we do to them?

It's not like they're elected...

And the guy who's gonna be replacing them is Barack Obama...

...Crap.

As usual, it's not about the feral sociopaths. It's about the Patriots who would fight for their rights and freedom.

Ah, MORE racism in the form of laws. Lets make it a requirement that you have to attend training ($) and re-register them every few years ($) and WHO will it limit the most, why minorities of course. Thanks once again democrats (council makeup 11D, 1R, 1I), for showing your true colors.

registration is a "reasonable restriction" already, so why the hell wouldn't this scheme pass? You have to be pragmatic in knowing what is pragmatic to support.
