"An Innocent Mistake"

Officers from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives barged into a South Florida home Wednesday only to discover they had the wrong address.
The tradition of excellence continues. But let a gun dealer have a paperwork glitch, and it's a "willful violation" worthy of closing him down.

Hey, where's famous BATFU spokeflack Thomas Mangan? He's always trying to promote his career by getting his mug in front of a microphone whenever they have something they want to crow about.

Hey Tom: What's with "No one from the ATF would speak to NBC 6 on camera..."?

Even if we let you wear one of these?

Anti-Gun Nutter Breaks Law

Nutter defies '96 ruling by signing new gun laws

So if we have equal protection under the law, can I defy laws I don't like, too?

Or is that a privilege reserved for the elites?

I like how this traitor cites the Declaration of Independence as justification for his unAmericanism.

This article says enforcement of the law against normal capacity semiautos will begin immediately.

I'm envisioning a 100+ car caravan in the City Hall parking lot and then each driver calling the police to advise them they have a noncompliant firearm in the trunk--right after calling the local media. Everything would be conducted peacefully, and no resistance offered. The time to fight would be afterward, in court.

Think they'd dare make 100 confiscations and arrests?

I Guess it Beats Admitting Powerlessness

Long-gun amnesty may be extended

That's fine, and those watching the backs of Canadian gun owners are doing good, but this really needs to be looked at from a different perspective.

Those who keep pushing for registration are like sick stalkers who won't take "No--I'm not interested--Leave me alone" for an answer. Why do we accept on a societal level what we would not tolerate on a personal one? (Perhaps that explains why we tolerate betrayals from politicians that would land an errant spouse out on the street.)

What does massive noncompliance tell you?

And why aren't we employing more if it here?

GUN ZEALOTS PUT FLORIDIANS AT RISK!!!

IS THIS THE WILD WEST IMAGE FLORIDA WANTS TO PROMOTE AS IT TRIES TO LURE TOURISTS AND NEW BUSINESS?

A-A-A-A-A-R-R-G-G-H-H-H!!!!!

Goodness. This almost popped out.

CSI: Granby

Environmental police have concluded there is no evidence that a black bear shot by a town man on his property was charging the resident.
"Environmental police"?

Good grief.

I suppose the Hate Crimes Tactical Response Unit cannot be far behind.

Yeah, Menard must be lying. Why else would he have been the one to call the police, who otherwise would never have known?

Repeal the Second Amendment

NOTE: The article I am responding to is actually about a year old, but I didn't see it then and think it merits comment.
Fifteen unambiguous words are all that would be required to quell the American-as-apple-pie cycle of gun violence that has now tearfully enshrined Virginia Tech in the record book of mass murder. Here are the 15 words that would deliver a mortal wound to our bang-bang culture of death: "The second article of amendment to the Constitution of the United States is hereby repealed."

Thanks, Walter.

"Men" like you remove the need to debate those who ridicule gun owners for being paranoid over "slippery slopes."

You get the same answer I gave Sallie Tisdale (another Salon subversive).

And the same one Mike Vanderboegh gave "Homer Simpson's Dumber Brother."

Bring it on, Walter.

Oh, but I forget--you're merely the cheerleader. You expect men who don't wear these to do your fighting and dying for you.

Sucks to be you, Walter--and you obviously know it. Why else would you demand the state render better men than you equally unmanly?

We're the Only Ones Disarming You Enough

Having a CCW, to me, doesn't make you any different than anyone that's being stopped on a traffic stop. Regardless of the situation, YOU HAVE A GUN, AND GUNS ARE USED TO KILL PEOPLE. Its as simple as that.

What if you decide that you've had a bad day and that you don't want a ticket from the LEO that's giving you one, It only takes a split second to snap and make a bad decision that will cost u the rest of your life, and possibly the LEO that you or anyone else decides to fire at.

Asking why you need a gun in the first place is a good question, but i see know reason to ask if I disarm you and hav in in my possession.
Thanks, "txpolice," for perfectly illustrating the mindset that is "The Only Ones."

To put it bluntly: Any California gun owner who does not help this man's campaign deserves his chains.

We're the Only Ones Knock, Knock, Knockin' on Oakland's Doors Enough

A six-month pilot program where Oakland police officers would knock on doors and ask permission to search homes for guns got the green light from the City Council's public safety committee Tuesday night.

So--y'all know where all the hard core gangbanger cribs are?

You're gonna be knocking on those doors first, right, the same ones you'd bring SWAT in on to serve a warrant? 'Cause, like, wouldn't that be where your problems come from?

Oh, but I forgot--they must not be a problem any more. Capt. David A. Kozicky and all his "Only One" police state co-conspirators convinced the California electorate former mayor Jerry Brown did such a crackerjack job pandering to public emplo..uhh..I mean fighting crime, that he deserved the top enforcement slot.

The fascists keep repeating the same failed grasping at straws that never works. I keep thinking maybe someone in their jurisdictions with some influence will notice, but then again, if they do have influence, their interests are already vested.

Paul's Coming to the Falls

Congressman Ron Paul has announced that he will be coming to Twin Falls, Idaho on April 25th.

I just don't get what for.

For all practical intents and purposes, his race for the presidency is over--the GOP nominee is John McCain, and Paul has stated he will not run third party but will focus on retaining his congressional seat.

I suppose I'll hear about how the movement is bigger than one man and he's building a war chest, but until I see who those other men are, I can't be expected to buy into a speculative investment on unknowns.

If someone starts a Draft Ron Paul movement and he consents I'll get excited again. Even if the object is only to get his message to more people, what's the best way of doing that? By making whistle stops in Idaho or occupying a third lectern in nationally televised debates?

This Day in History: April 11

Colonel Chester delivered me your Letter of the 7th. instant, mentioning the appearance of some of the enemy's Ships in the Sound, and your apprehensions thereupon.

I am well convinced, there is no reason to dread the descent you speak of, and that these little desultory motions have no serious design, but are only intended to divert our attention from the important objects which ought to engage it. It would be inconsistent with their general purpose, to diminish their mainbody, by occupying posts, which could be of no use towards facilitating the enterprises they more immediately have in contemplation. At any rate, I cannot think of straitening myself, where the danger is pressing and certain, to give succours where there is little or nothing to apprehend.
