With Equal Patriotic Fervor

Fred Delia, co-owner of Delia's Gun Shop in Wissinoming, had a different take.

He said the gun crackdown "sounds like the British are coming back."

With equal patriotic fervor, he declared that Nutter and City Council should be arrested for violating state law and a 1996 Pennsylvania Supreme Court ruling that said only the state legislature can regulate firearms.

No, not "with equal patriotic fervor," you astoundingly ignorant "Authorized Journalist."

Nutter's fervor is treasonous.

A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum

A state gun control group is holding a public forum on gun violence on the two-month anniversary of the Northern Illinois University shootings.

Members of the Illinois Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence are staging the forum at 7 p.m. Monday in a conference room at NIU's Naperville campus at 1120 E. Diehl Road.
So how about it, Illinois gun owners?

Are you going to let these guys dominate the message, or will more of you show up to record the proceedings and ensure the truth is known?

"I'M More in Touch...

No, I'M More in Touch!
John and Hillary stand up for we, the little people, as Thulsa fires back.

Me, I think I'll just go sit in a corner and cling to my gun.

God forbid "The Audacity of Hope" applies to people who stand for freedom instead of the farce playing before our eyes by these shameless Bolsheviks.

Under Pressure

No doubt Gov. Perdue is under lots of pressure to veto this bill...

I don't see why there'd be a problem. I mean, the guy is into sporting clays...

No Sugarcoating, Please

“We owe it to our members and our supporters to tell the truth about all of [the candidates], and we’re not going to sugarcoat it,” Cox said.

Fair enough.

Why not begin here?

Cute.

A less benign interpretation is a little game I like to call "Find the Terrorist."

Take your time, now...

On Guns and Kids

I am a student at the University of Oklahoma and if anyone was allowed to carry a concealed weapon, I would go somewhere else. I feel very safe here and if it went into effect that anyone could have a gun, I would feel like I could get shot at any time. Why not instead of lettingmore people carry around guns we make STRICTER gun laws that dont LET people like Seung-Hui Cho able to BUY the gun in the first place. AND he wasnt even supposed to be able to buy a gun!

Nutter Laws

Sebastian has the pdf files for all five new illegal "laws."

I think #5 is worth testing after the 30-day "grace period" expires.

This Day in History: April 12

This mural, by artist Francis Vandeveer Kughler, depicts the delegates to the Fourth Provincial Congress at Halifax leaving the Halifax courthouse at nightfall on April 12, 1776, after they had voted "to concur in independency" by adopting the Halifax Resolves. Among those in the scene are Samuel Johnson, Thomas Burke, and Cornelius Harnett.
