Thanks for the heads up. I just left a comment over on the article page about how not everyone who carries or owns a gun got it while they lived there and that they may just want to protect themselves. It amazes me that people wouldn't think that someone might bring a handgun with them when the moved from somewhere else.

Still can't find crime statistics past 2005 for Fall River. It would be a shame if the new policy was both unconstitutional and ineffective, wouldn't it?

My understanding is that the FRPD stopped reporting crime figures after 2005
