"a mom or dad driving their kids through a gun free school zone into a roadblock while armed, risks being charged with “using” a gun in the commission of a crime."
How Soviet. How Nazi. That's the way they get those big "gun crime" statistics in those gun-free big cities. Simple possession where our gods-on-earth decree "Thou Shalt Not."
I think the unintended consequences of such an arrest, where this is a new thing, would provide the government with a net loss, speaking of losing. They're talking about my mother, my sister, my wife, my daughter, the Virginia Tech victims...
A Richmond drug dealer will not get the death penalty or any additional prison time for killing an FBI informant. There's "no evidence" linking him, except the testimony of an acquaintance who saw him follow the informant around the corner of a house, heard a shot, saw him come back out and leave, and discovered the body. So, 20 years and no more, and probably only half of that.
Lots of manpower available to search the innocent, though.
