With 50% of American households owning at least one gun, they could find a "terrorist" on every block. I guess the dim WOULD want a militarized police force to deal with that potential "threat." Then they won't need to call in help like No-Guns Nagin and Eddie Broken Moral Compass did in New Orleans.
i generally don't worry about the equipment boogeymen, here.
if things get bad enough that they need to use it, it'll already have been stolen. these guys don't sleep four hours a night with their legs wrapped around their AR like the military does.
and if they use it before things are "bad enough," then "brutality" will be cried from all sides, and things will start getting "bad enough" real quick.
Hey, this way we get a little taste of the big welfare bill. They're pushing even MORE weapons and military equipment out where WE can get our hands on it. They're democratizing the balance of power. What's not to like?
Anybody notice that all the requests for repression equipment and teams are coming from departments and venues who only deal with the American citizen?
