Controversial

A controversial gun bill passed by the legislature last year paved the way for licensed firearm owners to carry guns in public places such as state parks or historic sites. [More]
Leave it to "Authorized Journalists" to characterize having the means to protect yourself and your loved ones as "controversial."

What's controversial is that there are traitors and fools in this country who would oppose it. How people got this evil and ignorant, and what we can do to render them irrelevant to Liberty ought to be what we're focusing on.

It all started when the income tax amendment separated those who pay for government from those who vote for governance...

i'd say it started when humankind abrogated the divine right of self-government to the concept of an intangible human order administrated by force.

allowing taxes to slip into the mix certainly didn't help. in fact, nothing ever will, until we're done putting others in charge of what each of us is responsible for.

We fought the first revolution over 'taxation without representation'. I think we'll be fighting the next one over 'representation without taxation'...

Ah, I don't need or want either one, and I hadn't noticed any reduction in the taxes lately.

The next revolution will be fought over slavery - for real this time.
