It's a Start

I'd feel better if they told us just what powers they intend to take over if the feds vacate...

Several states' senators and representatives have introduced similar resolutions during their respective legislative sessions this year. Texas, Oklahoma, Montana, I think Alaska and possibly others.

It's past time that the federal government's chain is jerked. The federal bureaucracy has been overstepping its constitutional bounds for generations.

Read, or re-read, the federalist and anti-federalist papers. The founders were warned about what has happened to the U.S. Ben Franklin has been quoted, just prior to the Constitution being presented to the states for ratification, as saying, "[T]his is likely to be well administered for a course of years, and can only end in despotism, as other forms have done before it..."

We, the people, are to blame. We learned our government school lessons too well. We didn't question our teachers. We just wanted to get along. Football was more important than studies. We read and studied only enough to get that passing grade. We weren't overly concerned when it was other peoples' rights that were being trod upon.

David commented to me recently that he thinks the book of Exodus might be more prophecy than history. Read that book again. Plug in the words "American People" for the words "People of Israel" and see if you don't agree.
