We're the Only Ones All Ryled Up Enough

A Wyoming Highway Patrol trooper faces federal civil rights charges alleging he unlawfully arrested and kidnapped a man in January.

...The complaint, which federal authorities revealed Friday, also charges Ryle with brandishing a gun during the crime. It does not specify Ryle's relationship to the other man.[More]
Not specified?

I gotta wonder what Immigration and Customs Enforcement is doing joining with the FBI and state DCI that would result in an arrest?

The details are too scarce on this to pass "Only One" judgment yet. It's not like I have a high level of trust where the feds are involved.

This is a strange one. I can't help wondering if this wasn't something to do with another drug or human smuggling bust that his involvement wasn't wanted. If he was acting under the color of the law. I would think that he was making an arrest that wouldn't hold up in court. Charges would be dropped, happens all the time. The fact that there's a gag order in this case makes me believe there was some other more powerful government involvement in this matter.
Lets hope our girl in WY keeps us in the loop with this one as it unfolds.

I'll be keeping my eyes on it. Interesting that it was in the Billings, Montana paper and nothing so far found in a Wyoming news source... Strange indeed.

I'll be asking friends in southern Montana if they've heard anything about this as well.

If YOU see or hear anything, please send it to me: mamaliberty - at - rtconnect.net

Thanks!

If nobody's mentioned it before, this is a great place to note this parody of the MIAC "Domestic Terrorism" report: The Modern Missouri Police Movement: State of the Police State .
