Advice from an Expert

"The two times that I got mugged..."

Laughing here. Yeah, I think I'll be taking armed defense advice from an oblivious perpetually Condition White cud-chewer. I guess he just can't grasp that not everyone is as demonstrably incompetent as he is, which, I guess is why he is so demonstrably incompetent.

Michael Dozier, thank you for being you.

The thought strikes, he could be a Mary McFate-style insider, you know, intentionally making the Bradyites look ridiculous...? Because I truly can't imagine any "man" this effete and stupid. So maybe I'll just shut up about him now, and let him continue to do our work for us...

Oh, look--we must have struck a nerve:
The Brady Campaign "Group" has just gone "private" to facilitate better conversation amongst activists. If you have an idea or story to share please join and interact with activists, victims and other supporters. Trolls that come in to promote gun have been or shall be deleted/banned.
Man, I'm glad we got Michael on the inside before they did that.

David,
I,too, got to play for a few minutes. It was an interesting time trying to educate the still-sentient among them...

Question: If you only talk to yourself, is it possible to lose an argument??

Pax,

Hey, Even though they've cut off posting, you can still add Comments to other posts! I've still been ripping them up, and they keep deleting me! (but slowly...)

I'm not sure if you have to "be a fan" to allow posting comments, but I'm still listed as a Fan :)

From surrender position to draw from the holster under an open coat to aimed kill-zone hit on an IDPA target, range two yards: 1.0 second, timed electronically. Bad guys expect compliance, not resistance. The surprise should give a defender another quarter-second. Your mileage may vary, but this is the average dedicated amateur, not elite SWAT team members. We may not all be race-gun big dog marathoners, but we can train for the sprint.

They invite us to "join." Is there some iron clad loyalty oath required to do that?

Heck, the truly dedicated trolls could, possibly, you know - even lie about it if they had to!

Of course, the moment you made an honest comment you'd get tossed.

Probably not worth the effort much after that. Oh well.

Oh, c'mon! Don't give up! "Become a Fan" and then you can still comment on some posts even if they "Ban" you!

This is Fun! and doesn't take much time. It's also good practice for real conversations with anti-gunners :)

Had this sudden flash vision of snowflakes. Wonder what that could be about?

perfect example of condition white -- he had no idea he was about to be mugged. that is extremely instructive.

it's important to point out that, should you desire to be free, you will have to spend some of your day, every day, in condition yellow, no matter what.

this is why a gun alone is not enough. fortunately, it is never alone: it is by your side. and you have a mind and therefore a mindset to consider.

this is why "just buying a gun" is such a laughable oversimplification of the question of whether or not guns make you safe. tranzis hear that and they think the gun owner is talking about a magic ward against evil. for total lack of experience, this genius michael might as well have had precisely that.

in reality, all law abiding gun owners have already cultivated the awareness. that is why they now own and carry a gun. does having a gun make you safe? yes, the process of it does. an active change, not a single gunless state compared to another "gun-ful" state.

statism takes on a whole new meaning when you look at how these statistician-worshipping types think.

it is not true, reflective thought.

I was on the sidewalk approaching the office when I pinged this guy. I KNEW he was trouble. I maintained eye contact and started ... REACHING... He found somewhere else to look and somewhere else to be. I live in Condition Orangish-Yellow.
I don't like the term "mugged." Sounds too cozy, like grilled cheese and a cup of tomato soup at Mom's house. Call it what it is: I was robbed by intimidation and threat of harm or death. "Mugger" is old slang for "purse." Mugger-snatcher was shortened to "mugger."
Why do I associate the term with gun-free NYC? Hasn't Bloomie tamed those thugs YET? He sure has tamed some Virginia gun dealers. Yes sir, yes sir, three videotapes full, sir.

Don't be too hard on Michael. I too was mugged twice. When I was twelve.
