Do the "Ayes" Have It?

Voters in two Southern Illinois counties overwhelmingly said “yes” Tuesday to advisory referendums asking if the state should pass legislation permitting trained and licensed citizens to legally carry firearms. [More]
Who all thinks the urban-dominated legislature will let them? See, "home rule" only applies to ruling.

I just can't get excited over this. The whole majority rule on rights thing isn't something I've ever thought was a good idea. It's right down there on my list next to permits.

You are right about not getting excited. Crawford County did the same thing in Nov. To the State, it does not mean a thing.

"What do you want after the revolution, Stan?"
"I want to have babies."
"Here we go again. Where are you gonna gestate the fetus, in a box?"
"How about we all agree that Stan HAS THE RIGHT TO HAVE BABIES even though he doesn't have a womb?" [and never will]
