It may not be scientific, but 1,924,174 responses is significant, and the overwhelming negative response may tell us something about the level of feeling of one group vs. another.

Also, what we in social-science land call the "bimodal distribution" of the responses: the concentration of As and Fs. There's a message in there.

"F"... as in:
F U You foreign-born communist dirtbag sonofadog.
That poll allowed voting more than once. It swung - massively - back and forth as various fora sent their people there and they beat hell out of it for a day or three at a time.
I, personally, only did it twice just to be sure I was right in my suspicion...
