Definitely, they would have preferred he was shot to death by any of those perps, society would be better off that way.
True to form, the investigative reporters made nary a mention of the elephants in the room. And couldn't you just see the abject disgust on the face of the pansy doing the interview.
Incredible. For something almost as amazing, look up an article by massad ayoob wherein he went through an incident in a Virginia jewelry store. Hundreds of rounds fired, good guys win, all bad guys dead.

Gee, after listening to the reporter in this story, why do I feel like I am back in parochial school with the sadistic nuns telling me I should just offer up my suffering to God instead of taking positive action to stop the suffering and prevent the suffering from reoccuring?

I will say this... with Obama seeking executive powers or control over the Internet... it wouldn't surprise me if he were to give the Brady's just that... the ability to shut down such a segment.
