Rep Bachus needs to get in touch with the people. We are so far past the "all guns being outlawed" nexus that it can't be seen in the rearview mirror. Can't scare us with that one anymore. If ANY guns are outlawed, we'll all be outlaws. That raises a whole 'nother set of possibilities for us. Such as ATFOTRAF.

In the end, however, they are really saying, "let us cut off your left arm... then we won't have to cut off your legs or shoot you in the head."
This is what they call "reasonable" and a necessary "compromise."
