A Total Meltdown

Obscene. [More]

Guarded by weapons-of-war-bearing "Only Ones."

Committed by an economic fascist company that they won't identify.

And cheered on by bubble-headed watch...uh...lapdog "Authorized Journalists."

Just obscene.

The more I watch "The Deadliest Warrior" and "Warriors," the more I hear it said that the deadliest weapon of all is the human brain. If they melt ALL the guns into rebar, we'll cut the rebar into comfortable lengths, wrap with tape or cloth for a handle, and choose the time and place to "install " it.
They cannot triumph until we give up.

"Illegal guns" may be correct for 1% of the items smelted. The quick look I got showed a huge quantity of wooden-stock bolt-action hunting rifles like grandpa has.

The fact of destroying high-value items resulting in a few tons of low-value rebar is appalling and another example of the State of California wasting resources.

If the State had half-a-brain collectively, it would start an armory project to check and repair the weapons for use by the citizens and law enforcement. The State could issue the weapons or sell them to qualified individuals, much as CMP does. Since the weapons were seized/"turn-in's", raw material cost is nearly zero: they can't help but make some profit.

At very least, transport the unburnt tonnage to the State of Nevada or Oregon for auction to FFL's. We'll fix 'em, sell them retail on 4473's (not to Cali residents!), and shoot 'em.

The State of California is morally bankrupt, soon to follow with fiscal bankruptcy.

Cheers.

No such thing as an "illegal gun". Illegal USE of a gun, sure. Any "law" against any gun is counterfeit and no one has any obligation to obey it.

That is a great example of The State of Kalifornication !!! The "State" is screwing the taxpayers out of the value of the firearms that could be resold to honest citizens for protection and/or recreation. Also the cost of transporting, smelting and guarding by the states minions. Obscene indeed !!!

Yeah, looks like they changed videos at the url and I can't access the one I originally linked to.

What it's about: LA is melting down confiscated guns and the reporters are all gushing about how wonderful that is.

I went to the KCAL 9 Channel 2 website and replaced the url in this post with the one on their site. No guarantees it will stay there, but it is working as of right now.

And yeah, they'll make you watch a commercial first.
