We're the Only Ones Baffled by that Attitude Enough

York is baffled by that attitude, saying semiautomatic rifles aren't needed for hunting or self-defense.

“It's a weapon of war, not of sport,” York said. “I'm sure it will be a political battle, but the officers are out in the street fighting that battle every day.” [More]
Now see here Pork...uh Yorky, you mudhead. If you're interested in seeing what fighting a battle every day is all about, you just keep this nonsense up. Otherwise shut up and go direct traffic or something.

Fascist "Only One" enforcer.

I also like the companion article title "Helmke strives for middle ground on gun rights, control." They don't even try to mask the lies.

That Evan Goodenow and the News-Sentinel are quite the little "Authorized Journalist" fascist lickspittles, are they not?

Iowa is, as you already surmised a may issue state. It is up to the local county sheriff to decide whether you are a cool enough kid to exercise your God given rights. Pottawattamie county, where the mall in question is located, does have a pretty good sheriff concerning issue according to Iowacarry.org. That being said, Iowa law absolutely forbids open carry to anyone except on duty Only Ones. Hence the collective defecation of the sheeple in question.

Extrapolate at your leisure.

It is PRECISELY weapons of war that the Second Amendment prohibits the government from prohibiting or regulating, which they would admit if they bothered to do an evening's research. But when you're absolutely sure your opinion is the .. er, Only One...
Helmke's "middle ground" is the graveyard of individual liberty. Reports of its death are GREATLY exaggerated. They seem determined to tread and find out. I've got nothing better to do...

Does anyone know where I can get these rifles that fire 75 rounds all at the same time? That would be a rail of lead several feet long. Now that would be cool. Morans.

Well, they are both, and we shall use them in the former capacity if needed.

I guess they're talking about aftermarket drum magazines. Some advertise a 250-round capacity, depending on caliber. Ssshh. Somebody might have a heart attack.
Don't know that I'd trust such a device myself. 30s and a couple of 40s are sufficient for most applications. If I wanted a BFG 9000, I'd buy a BFG 9000. Hauling 5 pounds of rifle and 12 pounds of ammunition up to eye level for each shot is not an exercise I'd like.
I can see the appeal for hip-shooting gangbangers. But you never hear about them using them.

The phrase you are looking for is, "Go chase yourself."

I understand the issue, I don't see the problem. What they are saying isn't true, but so what if it was?

Isn't it logical to assume that anybody thinking they may be engaging an armed force with tons of equipment and protective gear to opt for equipment to defeat that gear? That seems to me to be the only logical decision these insane monsters made.

Of course, that could be the reason for all the heartburn among the JBT's and their supporters. They very well could be reasoning along the lines of this; "If the insane monster makes such a logical decision when he rightly or wrongly assumes an armed confrontation is to take place, what will the sane free men decide when they reach the same conclusion due to our continued aggression against their peaceful pursuits?"

I believe that is what they fear. Not the occasional insane monster, but the sane free man who has been pushed farther than he will accept.

I would bet my next paycheck that most guns banned by name by California's "AW" ban have EVER been fired in hostility at another human on US soil. Sig 551? FN FNC? HK PSG-1? Yes, my next paycheck is yours if it can be proven.

He makes it sound like they're losing. Makes one wonder what the police agencies are buying with all that money they get to fight the War On Some Drugs...besides armored personnel carriers equipped with belt-fed machine guns, that is.
