We're the Only Ones Who are a Driving Force Enough

A rookie police officer who drove an SUV over a sunbather on the beach last month received seven days' suspension as part of his discipline for the accident.[More]
Good grief.

Aren't you glad our intrepid "Only One" was out there patrolling for beer drinkers? Why, one of those scofflaws might have gotten into his car and run over someone!

Oh well--at least this one noticed.

Paid leave for killing someone. Do you think this is how cops in Russia are treated?

Wow -- he's having his probationary period extended for 6 months. That's harsh dude!

My son is a lifeguard on that same beach. You and I cannot drive our cars there, but the police can. I guess that's because they're so much safer!

And the cop's reputation there is that of petty tyrants - all of them.

That lady shouldn't have been laying around where the nice Policeman was driving. If she would have exercised prudent care, and not gotten in the way of an Officer in the execution of his assigned duties, none of this would have happened.

You mere civilians just need to understand who is in charge around here.

It was a COP what dunnit, so it was the right thing to do! He deserves a paid vacation!
