Ammunition Law Shows Gun Owners Must Act Locally

The battles aren't all fought at the state and national level. Ironically, the ones most of us ignore are the ones we have the most control over. [More]
Today's Gun Rights Examiner looks at the importance of being on guard against local attacks on our rights.

I wish I could say you're not going to believe the character who introduced the ordinance, but sadly, his type is all too familiar to WoG regulars.

Tactical deceit and misnamed ordinances and legislation are standard operating procedure from city hall to the state house to the big house in DC.

My (ugh) mayor plus 14 rubber stamping monkees pass bills on one reading every week, circumventing the rules with one little phrase hooked to the end of the text: "and declaring an emergency". So everything from banning inflatable advertising signs to jacking up the outrageous water bills is deemed and emergency.

Lessons learned; get hold of your city/county whatever agendas every week; go over them with a fine tooth comb, and then deluge the bastards with righteous reasoned anger. When they disregard your orders, run them off at the next election (typical cycle, every second year) or recall them.

Waving signs at a T Party means nothing if you put away the sign and go back to sleep. These bastards are drinking on your tab seven days a week.
