First, the Bad News...

Investigators were able to smuggle bomb-making materials past security at 10 federal buildings, according to a report from the Government Accountability Office. [More]
The good news is, if a citizen is videotaping one of our buildings and not trying to hide the fact, we're right on top of it.

This article refers to 'Federal Protective Service' employees if I read it right. TV reports have referred to 'contract security' obviously with a view to claiming fed employee guards would be better. So, what is it, who is it, and how long till I cannot enter a gov facility w/o anal exam and fucktard escort?

1)Federal Protective Service supervises contracted private security guards to handle fixed posts to free up what few Police Officers they have to first-respond to calls (with the exception of Washington DC, where certain posts are manned by Police Officers). It is the guards who got "burned" here.
2)FPS over the last few years have gone after their Police Officers natonwide by writing them up, firing them for petty offenses (illegally against labor law), and generally persecuting them to get them to leave in order to replace them with uniformed bureaucrats called LESO's that do minimal police work but dress like cops. The lack of sworn cops to supervise guards and make arrests is a problem FPS (non-LEO oriented) management has brought on themselves, and these fools are now reaping what they have sown by screwing over their cops. These big-shots will probably get away with this and the public gets the shaft as usual...Get ready for another Oklahoma bombing, coming to your town soon, now that this has been publicly exposed....

Anonymous above is correct about FPS management not doing their jobs and screwing over their cops, I just want to add that this guy with the videocam is kind of a dick. After all, what did he expect, that he wouldnt be noticed?. To me, it looked like he wanted to provoke a confrontation with the court security guards. Obviously, for reasons stated above, no real FPS Cops available to respond. They would have been able to explain the rules to him logically. There is no law saying you can't take film of public buildings exterior, but you will be noticed, since AlQaeda types do surveillance like this when setting up targets for attack. Simple...

ok, snake 9, shut the Hell up. What? You think you have the right to offer an opinion against legal activity? Huh uh, asshole. What do you expect? People will notice that your name should be Ben Dover.

If I ever see you walking in public I will put your ass on the ground. You might be collecting data on weak points to aid a terrorist attack. What did you expect, you seem to be some "kind of a dick".

Wow. No freedom of speech here without getting flamed for no good reason. Bet I'll be keeping my opinions to myself around this place.
