A Negative Reaction

Mike Vanderboegh posts videos of militia leader Bob Wright addressing Tea Partiers. [More]

Excellent, stirring speech.

It appears a commentator made an assumption and jumped to a conclusion, and Mr. Wright gently corrects him.

Go and read Mike's post, and be sure and watch the videos he links to.

That was the best "correction" I've ever read.

Bob Wright: "We remember what our teachers told us, there's supposed to be all these checks and balances. Never are we supposed to be in the position that we today are facing. Because make no mistake about it, this is not an aberration. What we are facing today is an incipient tyranny."

Since this incipient tyranny is not an aberration, does Bob now reject the constitution, since that approach proved to fail under load exactly as the Anti-Federalists predicted?

Bob Wright: "We kinda stood down about four years ago and moved operations down and started tryin' to help out the Minutemen, try to curb this illegal immigration."

Adam Smith pointed out in 1776 that the wealthiest countries were the ones with the most international trade -- including international trade in labor. Bob wants to do to our trade in peacetime what the German U-boats did to it in wartime.
