A Gunsmithing Project

Briefly, my idea is for a flintlock "AK-47". [More]
I encourage Kent McManigal to build one.

Hey, it's not like I haven't promoted some strange gun design proposals...

I may try to tackle this at some point. My gunsmithing skills are iffy, at best.

It would be far easier to just take a street sweeper 12 gauge action and permanently install .50 caliber chamber inserts with nipples , a .50 caliber barrel of course and presto...

A twelve shot black powder cap and ball semi-auto....

The street sweeper action is a basic revolver design, and is spring assisted to advance to the next chamber after every shot.

Since the NFA exempts cap and ball firearms from being considered "firearms", a full auto version would NOT violate the law....Could be mailed through the US mail...no paperwork...no $200 tax....no 4473 form to fill out....Hmmmmm!
