This Day in History: August 19

Edward Willcox, Quarter Master to Capt. Dorse's 44 troop charged with "Desertion, taking a horse belonging to Col. Moylan's regiment, and a trooper with his accoutrements," found guilty and sentenced to be led round the regiment he belongs to, on horseback, with his face towards the horses tail, and his coat turned wrong side outwards, and that he be then discharged from the army. I don't think it is any secret that professions involving burglary, rape, assault, or other violent activities have their risks.
Even dealing drugs on a corner... one runs the risk of having the competition take you out.

Those involved in those risky professions have assumed the risk. Period.

I have many firearms and have not found any of them, nor the ammo that they use, to be virulent in any way. Now that could change should a scumbag try to assault me or my family.

Hey, I've got a great idea... instead of outlawing guns and bullets, let's try making it a crime to thieve, rape, or assault.
Oh wait. It already is a crime.

I'd like to see John "Ghengis Khan" Kerry get this treatment. Nothing but a scum-sucking coward.
