A few years ago I sent an email to our local paper requesting that a story be done on our mayor’s membership in this group. I also emailed the mayor a copy of the story request. Less than a week later he left the group. Apparently when his membership was about to be exposed to the community, he found that his views differed from the Mayors Against Illegal Guns. Oddly enough, the election was only a few months away.
