I don't apologize for exposing abuses against citizens made under color of authority. Think of it--the official Brady position is to oppose citizen oversight of criminal actions by those in government. Anyone who characterizes that as a "denigrat[ion]" is quite simply and demonstrably a police state-enabling liar. [More]Today's second Gun Rights Examiner column could be titled "Fun with Bradys."

I can remember in the 60's when citizen oversight of the police were looked upon as a commie plot to overthrow the right of police to protect us from the hippies. I was one who felt that way. Now I realize how far the pendulem can swing back in the other direction so that we now look upon citizen overview of the police as a necessary tool. The prevailing view then was if you don't like the police when you get in trouble "call a hippie".
