We're the Only Ones Breaking the Rules Enough

He warned the state that under the Code of Federal Rules enforced by the U.S. Justice Department, these actions could result in a $10,000 fine for each violation and the state could potentially lose access to the use NICS system. [More]
I say demand it. For each and every time one of these professional law enforcers has committed a violation.

Unless the Justice Department is also willing to turn a blind eye to one of us non-"Only Ones" violating federal gun "rules."

Why don't we ask Mr. Olofson?

Wow, makes me wonder where that leaves Omaha, Nebraska, where all "concealable firearms" have to be registered with the PD. They run an NICS check on the person and a trace on the gun before registering. You also need to have the original receipt for the gun.

Registration has to be done in person at OPD HQ, and is "may issue." They don't like you for whatever reason, they keep your gun.

And those gun traces are counted as "crime guns" by the Brady Bunch, MAIG, et al.

I wish everyone would lose access to the NICS system and stop infringing on the right to own and to carry arms.

"...can be used only by federally licensed gun manufacturers, importers and dealers."

As I understand it, NICS can be used by any government agency that wants to use it. That's why those law enforcement agencies were running bc's - they had permission from NICS to do so. An access code from NICS is required to use NICS and they don't just give an access code out to anyone who wants one.
My county clerk runs a NICS check on anyone who applies for a pistol license amendment. It's noted on my amendments.
Is the Obama administration condoning illegal NICS checks?
