City officials seeking a new police chief passed up the former director of the Florida Highway Patrol, who formerly was a top commander of the Illinois State Police, because he is white, two former members of a city board claim. I mean, that would upset the entire "Only Ones" command model we've worked so hard to implement in East St. Louis with such stellar results...

If you could drive through East St. Louis, it would turn your stomach. They lost garbage service for 2 yrs., and just kept throwing it out on the curb. Their mayor, who ran the only business in town that was successful, a mortuary, was re-elected five times, during this same time period. At the same time, a serial killer was running around, killing the prostitutes and leaving the bodies anywhere he fancied. The school district has been permanently taken over by the state of Illinois. The mayor runs around in one of his 3 official limosines, the police often use their own vehicles to go to crime scenes. It is a small, drug infested, corrupt, horrible town. More like third world town.
