We're the Only Ones Offended Enough

Chicago aldermen with their noses out of joint Friday demanded to know why they are searched along with the masses at the city's central headquarters for administrative hearings. [More]
How dare you not recognize out superior "Only One" status. Who do you mistake us for? Someone stupid enough to give us power?

And doesn't this just say something?
It's not a matter of giving anybody any preference. But us that are aldermen -- we are the ones who set your budget.
Forget it, Jake, it's Chi-Town. Which, with this attitude, makes me think of 1793 Paris for some reason...

That meets the legal definition of extortion. She should have been arrested on the spot and carried away in handcuffs. But Hey! It's Chicago, there's a pecking order, you never arrest up, and you always extort down.
