We're the Only Ones Unidentified Enough

Heilman’s friends, who had been in the car with him, said there was a fight and Heilman was winning, but he was backing away when Waldron pulled his gun. They said no one knew Waldron was a Le Sueur County Sheriff’s Department investigator working undercover. They said Waldron didn’t identify himself until after he shot. [More]
I don't know why the debate on charges. Sounds like it's all within acceptable "Only Ones" protocol to me...

What's that ticking sound?

Hey, come on now. Waldron has a Super-Hero costume and a Magic Shield. Those things make him impervious to wrongdoing.

So there!

Cripes, even comic-book superheroes treat people better than the cops. At least when Batman beats the stupid out of you, it's because you've been really bad.

I'm not a comment kind a guy but this deal has really pulled back the curtain for me. Having followed all the news accounts since the day it happened, I was sure deputy Waldron would face some legal consequences for his actions. An unidentified officer, in plain clothes, in an unmarked car making a traffic stop, ends up killing someone and gets his job back. I can't get my head around that.
In a press conference today, http://www.mankatofreepress.com/local/local_story_328120430.html they told deputy Waldron's side of the deal and how it was collaborated by the drive by witness who stopped to watch the scuffle and scrammed when he heard gunshots. All the other eye witnesses got it wrong, made up their stories, or are lying?
The "only ones" has taken on a new meaning for me.
