Am I 'Skating Near the Legal Edge of Making Threats of Violence'?

A Fudd/troll offers a stinging criticism to one of my GUNS Magazine columns.

I thought it worth a second Gun Rights Examiner column to call it to your attention.

Unread and unwashed Marxists always live in fear that free men and women will exercise their rights. They cringe at the words of wisdom from our Founders. These quotes from the right wing extremists that gave us a free country barely scratch the surface of what our Founders bequeathed to us with the sacrifice of their lives, fortunes, and sacred honor. I can only feel sorry for those who are so foolish as to disregard the history of our nation and liberty. These deserve neither security or liberty. If I am permitted I would like to add 2 more quotes that sum up things quite well:
"Shall we try argument? Sir, we have been trying that for the last ten years . . . . An appeal to arms and to the God of hosts is all that is left us! They tell us, sir, that we are weak--unable to cope with so formidable an adversary. But when shall we be stronger? Will it be next week, or next year? Will it be when we are totally disarmed and when a British guard shall be stationed in every house? Shall we gather strength by irresolution and inaction? . . . Rall, et al, are going to catch their wildcat, and they'll call to their fellow jerks that they have. The jerks will answer, "Well, bring it in". and Ralls' reply will be, "The wildcat won't let me". III.

I just hope I am around long enough to be "dangerous" and be one of the "wildcats" again. Thanks Carl, for those quotes, all of them just went into my quotable quotes file.

I was surprised to see that letter in this month's "Guns" magazine. I will have a Letter of my own on its way David.
Rest assured the vast majority of "Guns" and "American Handgunner" readers do not share such a view.

Jeff, I saw it when it first came in and told the editor I would be most pleased if he selected it. It's the kind of thing that stirs up reader response, and that's a good thing. So please do write them with your sentiments, but please don't think the magazine in any way let me down.
