A former Philadelphia police officer pleaded guilty to planning the violent home invasion robbery of a drug dealer.

Why is it we wouldn't automatically act in defense against a break-in--regardless of who was smashing in our door? Or perhaps especially if it was an "Only One"...?

I assume that is a rhetorical question? Someone may kick in my door without being killed, but it won't be because I didn't try, no matter who it is.
