this is basically why the FDIC exists, and what the fed does in all its asset purchases. within a month of its establishment, the fed was speculating in the stock market. without the general fund, how could such an exchange otherwise be possible? this is only the model that's used to justify spending money now on a standing army "we" won't need until later; it's all socialism. no entrepreneurial calculation takes place.

aside from that, no news here. exchange yields profit for both parties by definition. i know this might be surprising to a couple of guys who blame industries for being heavily regulated, but there's no capitalism to see here. just business as usual.
