That All Depends on the Meaning of the Term "Due Process"

Members of the Legislature’s Criminal Justice Committee have voted to allow a bill to be considered this session that would require police to seize all guns in the possession of a person charged with a domestic violence offense. [More]
Charged.

Just add a dash of bipolar suspicion/jilted love and watch the fireworks begin!

At least this would require an actual charge to be filed, apparently unlike Oregon. That's sorta like due process, kinda. In a way.

A not-especially-Constitutional way.

Will they include steak knives, power tools, and any other devices that could inflict harm on another human such as shoes? No? Then they are being too selective. Better yet, lock the accused in a padded room and feed them only Jello, because they may hurt someone with their bare hands. We cannot let that happen.
