An ex-lady friend of mine who was, at the time, a rape counselor told me essentially the same thing. She also explained that the type of male who fits that category will always seek out a victim unable to protect herself. That is why they prowl college campuses and the nearby environs.
That was over 20 years ago and things haven't improved. As long as colleges insist that students be easy victims the predators will keep hunting there.
At least, it will go on until the women start practicing the three S's.

I carry a Kimber CDP II in a breakaway purse on my campus at ALL times. 230 gr Hydrashoks with 2 backup mags. I dare some lowlife to try to rape me or even assault me. Of course, I carry non-lethal weapons as well, but you never know. The .45 is reassuring for a little 120 lb girl. Besides, "they" can't see it! Or my CRKT folder!
I am NRA certified in many courses
and family certified in many more.
I do not care what "the law" says. I
am responsible for myself. F*** them! I know a lot of "kung phooey"
stuff, but security is a big .45 ACP.
I WILL carry no matter what "their"
