Security Questions Raised

There are questions about security at the centerpiece of Indianapolis' convention business after an armed robbery in a restroom. [More]
I've got a question.

Since no one noticed that the male entered the women's rest room, the woman was fortunate that only an armed robbery occurred.

Cameras protect nothing. When functioning, they only document what occurred in front of them or indicate to their monitors what is occurring. Response levels will vary.

That woman was mistaken in her assumption that a safe environment had been provided for her and others. Unfortunately, if she had carried a firearm for her own protection and had used it, she would have been arrested and fired from her employment. The terror of being a victim of an armed robbery pales in comparison.

Isn't it grand when we create a hell for ourselves?

Nice to see a sign preventing firearms on premisis and notifying criminals that law abiding citizens are defenseless... Maybe it should read something like: Firearms strictly prohibited, especially for law abiding citizens, criminals with guns go about your business. An anti would say that's gross sarcasm for a serious issue. Nay, it's simply the truth...
