We're the Only Ones Evicting Enough

I got this from The Cliffs of Insanity.

Meet Assistant Chief Ron Buckmaster.

Listen.

Chief Tim Buelow offers his take:
"I'm not going to second-guess my officers on the street," he said. "Audio and video can sometimes not tell the whole story."
Then again, chief, sometimes they can.

They invite contact.

You might want to ask "Only One" Ron some similar questions to the ones I asked Sheriff John. Like where does he get the authority to make up the law and what would happen if someone says "No" and means it?

Would anyone put up with plumbers that were this incompetent and corrupt?

Next time you get a speeding ticket tell the judge you just weren't familiar with the law, but you've issued yourself a training memo that you're not going to show anyone.

Remember, ignorance of the law is no excuse.

Unless ... (wait for it) You're an Only One.

The fact that said piglet admitted openly that he was going to make up charges out of whole cloth should cause the Michigan Supreme Court to overturn EVERY arrest and conviction that this department (as he is a senior officer)has made since his hiring.
Imagine what other arrests and charges he has made in a fit of pique?

Were they free to leave? Seems like someone was having some confrontational fun.

Were they free to stay?

Under what legitimate authority does anyone decide either way for them?

These two cops are gangsters, nothing more. These two are practicing thuggery and their department will not hold them to account for it.

i'm sorry, what other senses do you think you need, chief? taste? smell?

don't they have a test that civil servants have to pass that verifies that they're not mentally retarded?

This was right up the road from me.. I just heard the Ca. state legislature quick passed a ban on open carry. Having dealt with the $60 billion dollar budget deficit it was time to focus on the more pressing issues.

Watched "Fried Green Tomatoes" the other night. There's a scene in which Idgy and Ruth have a food fight in the kitchen of the cafe' THEY OWN. The town sheriff says if they don't behave, he'll arrest them both for disorderly conduct INDOORS ON THEIR OWN PROPERTY.
That was Alabama 1930-something. There's no excuse for cops creating violations to charge people with when they object to someone minding their own business while happening to be visibly armed.
It is good to remind the Powers that we have rights, which are upheld by laws.

My favorite part is :It is a training issue, and we are working on that."

Working on it?!? How about this Chief. Morning Roll Call: "Oy! Everyone lissen up! People can open carry in this state and we can't harrass them. Any questions? Good."

David, Good point. If Webb or Harris had tried to ignore Buckmaster would they have been taken to the ground? Obviously the cops feel as though they can do as they please.

Then again, the cops must have known that they were free to carry openly, because they weren't cited, nor were their firearms confiscated.
I also liked the part where the cop mentions wanting to "be a big man out here, walk around with a gun on your hip. Oh, I'm cool." Is he admitting that he feels that way every time ho goes into work? Perhaps he is giving us a glimpse into his emotional/psychological insecurities.
