I Never Ask Anyone to Do Something...

...I'm not willing to do myself.

This, to my mind, is the way you talk to these people. If enough of us did, we wouldn't have a problem.

Way fewer words than I used, which is the mark of a good writer.
If our hard line decides them to get their ass on their shoulders and pass the thing out of spite -- like some mayors we could name -- so be it.
It was about at this point that Mr. Patrick Henry thundered: "When shall we be stronger? Will it be after we have been completely disarmed?"

Of course - BUT, first get your argument together. Get it on paper where you will not leave anything out. Then call your congressman and both your senators.

Call your gunnie buddies, because a lot of them still have not heard.

Write a letter to the editors of your local newspapers. Change them up if you have more than one.

E-mail your Congress critters.

And after you get your line down pat, comment ONCE to the EPA. Remember, that single comment must be in by Halloween - but later and fully mature comments seem to go to the top.

Twist your buddies arms to do the same.

And do remember there is no 2011 Federal budget, so the EPA will be operating on a temporary resolution. If we show enough anger, we may get the budget cut drastically enough to stop the foolishness once and for all.
