For the Soul of Mexico

Eighty percent of the 75,000 guns Mexican authorities seized from criminals during the past three years came from the U.S. [More]
No they did not either, you incompetent or liar. Which is it, Ted Lewis?

You just blew a great opportunity to reach out to those of us who agree that the "war on [some] drugs" is an unconstitutional pretext for tyranny.

You want to reduce violence? How is urging the government to disarm those of us who WILL NOT going to do that?

Do you think we'll just turn them in for anyone who advocates this?
"[F]ederal...gun policies that must evolve to aid Mexicans fighting to preserve the soul of their country"
Hmmm...I see Ted here "directs the Mexico program of Global Exchange"...

Who's up for negotiating our subordination with him? Besides the "intellectual" urban commies at The Seattle Times?

Didn't Mexico just decide to de-criminalize small amounts of drugs? Are they encouraging narcos or against them - I'm having a hard time making my mind.

Heads of state of both Mexico and U.S. want to get rid of firearms in the general population, whether they be criminals nor citizens. This is just catering to 'if you just give us this ONE MORE THING, everything will be hunky dory'.

BS is above my head . . .

perhaps these people are simply both incompetent and liars. it would appear to explain a lot, if so.

Lewis waves the bloody shirt pretty well. Emotionally-charged words skillfully used to stir the UNINFORMED.
Commenters are setting him straight.
Even if straw purchases ARE being made for the cartels, there are laws to address that. Chilling the freedom of the overwhelming majority of non-criminals to buy guns would be ... counterproductive, shall we say.
Lewis totally ignores the Central and South American connection. Ex-Contras needing cash could be selling M-16s we sent. AKs? Who do they think the Contras were fighting?
But that's an inconvenient truth for statists.

I want these morons to ban the guns here, so they can see what happens. Make my day.
