The Siege of Rock Hill

Submit or be destroyed! [Read]

Hey, if this doesn't work, try starving them out. And flaming arrows work well, too.

And you can expedite it if you trebuchet some disease-infected corpses into their midst.

Government: Securing the blessings of Liberty since...

What? Work out a way to keep the water flowing and services paid for until the legal disputes are resolved? That's nowhere near as personally gratifying as crushing those who defy us. Why do you think we aspired to power over others in the first place?

Unilateral, non-consensual annexation is a feudal era tool still used in several states including Texas.

No right to vote by citizens targeted is recognized. Targeted citizens are generally deemed to have no standing at law as the cities technically annex utility districts or other such entities.

Only the 'only ones' at city hall have the power...in Texas cities can even levy taxes via limited purpose annexations outside their corporate limits.

Good luck folks, you're screwed and likely your legislature won't touch anything that smells of reform either.

Been there, done that, lost big.

Annexation is legalized thievery and the act of a failed and desperate municipality whose policies doom every productive citizen within their influence. The city near me did it repeatedly, and the areas it absorbed have been in decline since, just like downtown.
If I were forced out, I'd sell to the meanest drug gang of vicious illegal immigrants I cound find. Why drag things out?
